In this episode of the Hope + Help Podcast, Christine Chappell interviews Tim Keeter about his book, Help! My Child is Being Bullied. The conversation also features insights from Tim's 21-year-old son, Gabe, who endured bullying as a child. During the interview, Tim informs parents about behaviors they can watch for which may signal that bullying is taking place, and details biblical wisdom for navigating the early days of "discovery." Both Gabe and Tim share reasons why children are often hesitant to tell parents that they are being bullied, and observe the various ways parents can respond both helpfully and unhelpfully. Tim encourages parents with practical, biblically-informed suggestions for navigating difficult scenarios such as approaching a bully's family and equipping children to engage their bully. Finally, Tim and Gabe close the conversation with words of gospel hope and help for both parent and bullied child.
I know from personal experience what it means to endure years of being bullied as a child, and I am still aware of how it affects me.– Tim Keeter

About the Book
A mini-book with practical, biblical counsel for parents of children experiencing bullying.
Parenting a child who is being bullied is deeply challenging. We want good things for our children, so if they are bullied we feel a whole mix of emotions: anger, deep pain, anxiety, regret, and perhaps even annoyance. We may even be tempted to seek vengeance. In this mini-book, the author points to the help and hope God has provided for this trial, and gives wise counsel in how to navigate through it.
