15 Free Biblical Resources (and One Book) for Mental Disorders

a collection of content by Christine
Recently at a conference, a woman who read Midnight Mercies came up to me and disclosed she had recently been diagnosed with a mental disorder. She said, "I haven't told anyone about it yet. I still don't know what to make of it myself." Having been there a few different times, I knew what she meant.

Do you know what it is for a psychiatric diagnosis to throw you into a tailspin? I do. But I also know a God who offers stabilizing truths for the post-diagnosis journey—a God who makes his people fruitful in the land of their affliction (Gen. 41:52).

This is why I'm passionate about ministering to those who feel disoriented by a psychiatric diagnosis. Over the years, the Lord has allowed me to host compassionate counseling conversations that speak to these challenging issues. More than that, he has granted me opportunities to comfort and counsel those who find themselves experiencing similar afflictions with the life-changing comfort and counsel he's given to me in his Word (2 Cor. 1:3-4).

Below, you will find a collection of resources that seek to apply the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lived experience of issues categorized as mental disorders. If you know someone who could benefit from the resources presented on this page, please share this blog post with them by using one of the share buttons below.
