If you read the whole chapter of Psalm 46, you see "Be still and know that I am God," is not said in this beautiful setting where the sun is shining, and the flowers are there, and you can be still sitting on a hammock. No, if you read that chapter, the mountains are falling into the sea and the earth is quaking—and in the midst of that chaos, the Lord says, "Be still, and know that I am God."
