The greatest good that has happened in all of human history was the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but it came through the greatest trauma—the greatest suffering—that was ever inflicted by human beings on another human being.
– Curtis Solomon
Hope + Help Podcast · Hope + Help for Post-Traumatic Stress with Curtis Solomon
About the Episode
In this episode of the Hope + Help Podcast, Christine Chappell interviews Dr. Curtis Solomon on the topic of post-traumatic stress. Some of the questions addressed in this interview are:

• What is PTS and how are its various symptom clusters defined?
• Why do people suffering from PTS sometimes withdrawal from relationships and/or isolate themselves from society?
• How does the gospel offer hope and help to those struggling with questions about guilt, shame, responsibility, and forgiveness in the wake of a traumatic event?
• What biblical narratives can we turn to in order to connect the Scriptures with the sufferer's experience?
• What does it mean to help sufferers move from "post-traumatic stress" to "post-traumatic sanctification?"
• How can we help sufferers approach and process their "Where was God when this happened?" questions?
