For sufferers of anxiety or depression, talk of contentment may seem unrealistic (or even offensive.) What woman is happy about feeling stuck in emotional instability? How can she be settled and satisfied with such life-disrupting inner turmoil? In this session, Christine gives voice to the desperation women may feel in their daily experiences and examines the difficult thoughts that arise in their discouragement. Through a candid exploration of the comfort and counsel found in Psalm 73, attendees will gain a fresh sense of hope in their emotional hardships.
"Biblical contentment is not at odds with the realities of our afflictions. Rather, it's experiencing the peace of Christ in the midst of our afflictions."
