Stewarding Our Stories: Affliction & God's Design for One-Another Care

via Real Life Conversations with Dr. Venessa Ellen
Mercy means that Christ already took our punishment, so [affliction] is not a punishment. Since it's not a punishment, how can we respond to it in faith, in a way that will honor God, help others, and help us to grow and mature in Christ?
Stewarding Our Stories: Affliction & God's Design for One-Another Care
Paul David Tripp once wrote, "Our suffering does not belong to us." In this Facebook LIVE rebroadcast, I join Dr. Venessa Ellen to talk about affliction, stewarding our stories, and God's design for one-another care. This is a topic I am deeply passionate about, mostly because it's the heartbeat of the ministry God has given to me. But the stewarding of our painful pasts and present pains is for every follower of Christ. It's how he glorifies himself. It's how he grows us. It's how he means to dispense his comforts to the afflicted.
