Sometimes it can be hard to focus when we are grieving. Reading books or articles may prove to be difficult as cognitive abilities are temporarily impaired. As a result, some people have an easier time receiving comfort and counsel by streaming audio resources that speak meaningful words to their pain.
Additionally, sometimes it is comforting to hear from those who have personally walked through grief and loss. After my dad died, I didn't want to hear condolences—I wanted to hear from people who knew a similar pain. I wanted to know that, somehow, I could survive it.
These are the reasons I've compiled this blog post—to serve those who are grieving. Below is a collection of podcast conversations that center on the topic of grief and loss. All of these interviews are based on biblical resources that my guests have written, and nearly all of the guests are speaking from their own experiences. They are authors, pastors, counselors, and teachers who know a similar pain. By God's grace, they have not only survived the pain of grief, but have turned their "sorrow into service" (as Tim Challies puts it.)
The provided links take visitors to a page on my website where 1.) the audios can be streamed and 2.) information about the featured book is provided. These interviews span from the 2019-2023 Hope + Help Podcast archives. If you know someone who could benefit from listening to any (or all) of these conversations, please share this blog post with them by using one of the share buttons below.
